200-Hour Multi-Style Yoga Teacher Training
Aranya – Temple of Healing | IMark Valley, Attapadi, Kerala
Styles: Ashtanga • Hatha • Yin Yoga


1. Techniques, Training & Practice (Asana, Pranayama, Meditation) – 105 Hours

  • Asana Practice: Multi-style postures in Ashtanga, Hatha, and Yin Yoga with emphasis on alignment, modifications, and safe practice

  • Pranayama & Kriyas: Yogic breathing techniques, energy regulation, and bandhas

  • Meditation & Mindfulness: Guided meditation, concentration, awareness, and relaxation techniques

  • Integration: Linking theory to practice and developing embodied understanding


2. Teaching Methodology – 35 Hours

  • Principles of teaching yoga

  • Sequencing, class structure, and progression

  • Cueing, voice modulation, and demonstration

  • Observation, feedback, and adjustment techniques

  • Practice teaching sessions with peer and teacher feedback


3. Anatomy & Physiology – 25 Hours

  • Functional anatomy for yoga practice and teaching

  • Musculoskeletal, respiratory, and nervous systems

  • Postural alignment and biomechanics

  • Injury prevention and body awareness

  • Adapting yoga to individual needs


4. Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle & Ethics – 35 Hours

  • History and evolution of yoga

  • Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and Eight Limbs of Yoga

  • Yamas and Niyamas (ethical foundations)

  • Yogic lifestyle, nutrition, and conscious living

  • Applying philosophy to personal practice and teaching


5. Practicum & Assessment – Integrated Across Modules

  • Supervised practice teaching

  • Peer observations and feedback

  • Self-reflection and journaling

  • Final teaching assessment

  • Integration of learning from theory, practice, and experiential activities


6. Experiential Learning & Cultural Immersions – Integrated

 

  • Weekly nature immersion, guided treks, and cultural experiences

  • Visits to rivers, forests, and local communities

  • Final curated experiential journey for program integration

  • Reflection, journaling, and personal growth

Shamli Menon 

Founder of Aranya – Temple of Healing, is a Yoga Alliance certified Yoga Therapist and an experienced sound healer. With years of experience in conducting yoga retreats, conscious festivals, and wellness programs, she brings deep expertise and authenticity to every offering at Aranya.

All courses at the center are designed and directed by her and the team, ensuring that each program reflects her vision of transformative, conscious, and immersive learning. Under her guidance, participants experience a holistic journey that nurtures mind, body, and spirit, grounded in both traditional yogic wisdom and modern healing practices.
