200-Hour Multi-Style Yoga Teacher Training

At Aranya Wellness we believe that less is more. This course will be a hyper focused approach ashtanga vinyasa primary series, Patanjali Yogasutras, Bhagwad Geeta & Hathayoga pradipika.
The above-mentioned 4 topics shall be dealt with in absolute depth, with thorough scientific explanation & understanding. All the students will be academically engaged for 8 hours in a day, with 6 hours dedicated to active teaching & 2 hours dedicated to group study & self reflection on the prescribed topics.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary series (Chikitsa Krama).
– All the asanas shall be taught with an emphasis on alignment, Breathwork, Kumbhakas, bandhas & mudras. Multiple vinyasas for each of the practices along with modifications & adjustments. Each practice will also consist of therapeutic applications for each of the Asanas & Pranayama.
Hathayoga pradipika:
Select shlokas from Hathayoga pradipika consisting of Shuddhi kriyas, certain asanas, Naadishodhana, ashta kumbhakas, bandha-mudras, Meditation will be covered in thorough scientific detail.
Overall, this course will be conducted & the students will be evaluated in the Gurukula paddhati. While there will be an exam for the students towards the end of the course, major credits would also be provided on the basis of daily sadhana, interaction & understanding.

The complete Primary Series is taught progressively, with individual attention to:

Shamli Menon – Program Director
Founder of Aranya – Temple of Healing, is a Yoga Alliance certified Yoga Therapist and an experienced sound healer. With years of experience in conducting yoga retreats, conscious festivals, and wellness programs, she brings deep expertise and authenticity to every offering at Aranya.
All courses at the center are designed and directed by her and the team, ensuring that each program reflects her vision of transformative, conscious, and immersive learning. Under her guidance, participants experience a holistic journey that nurtures mind, body, and spirit, grounded in both traditional yogic wisdom and modern healing practices.
Vivek Chandran – Facilitator

Rohit Pillai – Facilitator
Is a a dedicated Yoga Sadhak and teacher, rooted in the belief that true teaching emerges only from sincere personal sadhana. My specialization lies in the integrated practice of yogasanas, pranayama, mudras, and bandhas, creating a powerful and transformative sadhana paddhati guided by the principle “Sadhana sadhyate sarvatra.”
I hold a BA in Yogashastra and am a Yoga Alliance–certified Breathwork Teacher, with advanced training from Patanjali College of Yoga. I have taught across leading institutions, corporates, and academic settings, including IIT Bombay, major multinational companies, and yoga education institutes. I have also collaborated internationally on developing dynamic breathing techniques.
My teaching integrates classical yogic wisdom with modern anatomy, physiology, and scientific research, offering a grounded yet deeply experiential approach to yoga.
